~~Memory of a Friend~~

 ~~Memory of a Friend ~~

On this Memorial day of 2012 I not only remember those who have fought in the wars to keep the USA free but a dear friend who passed away 2 months ago.  Even though she was 77 years old, she was a young 77.

It just happened one night.  Not feeling her best with a cold she was trying to shake for a few weeks. Her daughter spent time with her the night before she passed.  Not know this would be her last time to embrace and kiss her goodnight.

She was a dear friend to us all.  The last time I spent time with her I told her how much of a good friend she was to me.

She had just picked out a new bedspread and some lovely pillows to match.

We would spend many hours at this table talking about all kinds things.  Kids, Grand kids, Shopping, Cooking and my Crafting.

Now the table is set for one.

Her husband has taken it very hard.  Not very verbal about his loss, but you can tell by the words he doesn't say.
She was always there through the good and bad.  Doing for them all she could do.  Now he is finding out what a help she was.

Don't wait till it is too late to appreciate your partner.  Make each other aware of your love.  Thank God each morning for another day to mirror His Grace and Love.

I've always Loved this Angel.
And now it represents Her new life with her God and Mine.

We Will Meet Again.
We Love and Miss You!

Diary...Journal and now Blogging.

Diary...Journal and now Blogging.

A brief account of  daily Events. Ideas. Transactions used for private use.

What do you call your writings?  An outlet?  A way of making new friends? Sharing new and great ideas?
Whatever you call it, we all come for one reason or another.
I find it enjoyable.  Reading that favorite book.  Again with a new twist.

I started to read blogs to catch up on the newest stamps and ideas for card making.  Then one thing led to another.  Houses, crafts, gardening,
dogs and more.  But now I am finding a friendship in the
people that I read about.  They don't know me unless I write
then a note.  Some I do and some I don't.  Why I ask myself.
I don't know.  If I like what I am reading I should say so.
This will be my new goal.  Let you know I was here.

On a funny note.
This last fall my youngest Grandson was playing in the leafs.
He has to have a train or car in his hands.  ALWAYS.
He discovered how much fun it was to play outside on a
cool fall day in Indiana.

We have a strange yard that allows toad stools to grow
in both spring and fall.
I bet this is the first time Thomas and Friends have been
on a trip to the magic land of toad stools.
Leaving you for slumber land.  So I can get up and do it all
over again.
Love and Blessings

Mother's Day Brunch filled with Love

I have 3 beautiful daughters.  One lives out of town, one in town and one still lives at home with us.  I have decided to have a
 Mother's Day Brunch
with those that can come.  Along with my
Lovely Mother that will turn 80
this summer.  For us it will be a great
time, an a Kodak moment.

Mom and I were shopping last week and we
had the same thought. Which often happens.
We got each other roses.

Below is a Knock Out Rose bush from my Hubby.

A few of my friends have these and are always beautiful.
Full of blooms all rear.

Looks like I should have rotated pictures before I added them.
Just another thing I need to learn about all this blogging.

Many Blessings and much Love  to all you Mothers out there.
Thank you for your visit.
