What do you call your writings?  An outlet?  A way of making new friends? Sharing new and great ideas?

Whatever you call it, we all come for one reason or another.

I find it enjoyable.  Reading that favorite book.  Again with a new twist.  

I started to read blogs to catch up on the newest stamps and ideas for card making.  Then one thing led to another.  Houses, crafts, gardening,

dogs and more.  But now I am finding a friendship in the 

people that I read about.  They don't know me unless I write

then a note.  Some I do and some I don't.  Why I ask myself.

I don't know.  If I like what I am reading I should say so.

This will be my new goal.  Let you know I was here.

On a funny note.

This last fall my youngest Grandson was playing in the leafs.

He has to have a train or car in his hands.  ALWAYS.

He discovered how much fun it was to play outside on a 

cool fall day in Indiana.

We have a strange yard that allows toad stools to grow

in both spring and fall.

I bet this is the first time Thomas and Friends have been

on a trip to the magic land of toad stools.

 Leaving you for slumber land.  So I can get up and do it all

over again.

Mother's Day Brunch filled with Love

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

I have 3 beautiful daughters.  One lives out of town, one in town and one still lives at home with us.  I have decided to have a

 Mother's Day Brunch

with those that can come.  Along with my 

Lovely Mother that will turn 80

this summer.  For us it will be a great

time, an a Kodak moment. 

Mom and I were shopping last week and we

had the same thought. Which often happens.

We got each other roses.

Full of blooms all rear.

Looks like I should have rotated pictures before I added them.

Just another thing I need to learn about all this blogging.

Saving the Flowers.

My oldest daughter is starting a new life.  She and her hubby are going their separate way.  She is moving into an apartment in 15 days.  We went to visit her today and I was told to dig up whatever I wanted.  She has 3 beautiful rose plants that are 6 ft tall.  She didn't do anything to them over the winter.  In Indiana we can have very cold and windy winters.  Hers have more blooms on them now then I think I have all summer.
I wanted to dig them up but thought it would be the death of me before the task was done.  So I took some cuttings.  Three from each.  I have pictures on my phone but don't know how to share them.  I'm such a techno geek.  I have so much to plant and I haven't even cleaned out my beds yet.

Maybe someone will show me how to post the pics and I will share with you.  So much I need to learn to make this blog what I want.

SPRING

What a beautiful day today.  The temps will be up to 69 or so.  It's so warm I 

decided to hang out some of my laundry. 

 No we don't have this much grass.  This Pic is from last year.  I can smell the fresh air

and feel the warm sun.

 The smell of clothes drying outside can give you the best sleep ever. 

Last summer I lost a rose bush over the winter.  But I worked with it and 

put it in a pot to look after.  Believe it or not It did make it.  I don't have good luck

with roses.  :(

Don't know how it will turn out this spring. The first year it was tall and had 

several blooms.  I had 3 really good bloomers in 2010.  It's sad to see them 

not make it.  I just don't know.  We did have a really bad winter in 2010.

This last winter was so very mild.  Maybe I'll be surprised.

Forty one  years ago I was just a young girl of 17.  Getting ready to merry the love of my life.  He was kind of a "bad boy".  And I liked that.  But I was never one to go outside of the lines.  Color inside the lines.  We had our first date that evening.  Went to a car show with a friend.  We saw him there and hung out the whole evening.  It's all history now.

For the first time in our "history" I don't care about a card or gift.
Things have been rough money wise.  With the economy as it is we are thankful we have jobs.  He thanks God every day as he drives 50 miles to and from work.  To me that is my card of LOVE.  Why would he do this if he didn't love me and our growing family?

To me every day is Valentines Day.

A LOOK BACK TO DECEMBER OF 2011

I can't believe that I got all the things done I wanted to this December.  Baking, shopping & the house.  It all fell into place.  I said "what will happen when the other shoe drops"?  And it did drop.

I have been sick now for 12 days.  With a few days off to get my jobs finished for other people.  I think your body and mind just make you go on and think you feel good to get it all done. Then....BAM.  I got sick starting on Christmas eve while icing cookies. My nose ran & ran.  On Christmas the cough set in.  With a house full of guests for supper I had to remove myself to cough and wash my hands.  Then I got a ear ache.  On the 3rd day my ear drum busted.  So now I'm off balance and can't hear out of my right ear.  But with all of this it was a good Christmas. Great Family time together.  Again I posted before I loaded pics.  Most of my fun pics I took from my phone.  We'll see what I can do to fix that.

IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS

One week from today and it will be Christmas morning.  The smell of coffee, fresh rolls baking and the excitement of the little ones waiting to open the gifts that Santa has left.  Knowing the real reason for this day will bring warmth to our heart and souls.  Gathering with Family with Love all around.  Because one little baby came to earth and showed us how we are to live.  It's easy to remember on this one day about kindness and forgiveness.  It's the rest of the year that we need to have the Love of Jesus in our hearts and remember not everyone has it as good as we do.  At ties we always want more, but just know someplace in this world, someone has it a lot less then we do.  Anyone reading my blog has a warm house to be in and electricity to run the computer.  So thank God for all we have and all we can be.  This world isn't what we want it to be these days, but each one of us can make it the best it can be if we just do our best, love each other and forgive as God forgives us all.
