Forty one  years ago I was just a young girl of 17.  Getting ready to merry the love of my life.  He was kind of a "bad boy".  And I liked that.  But I was never one to go outside of the lines.  Color inside the lines.  We had our first date that evening.  Went to a car show with a friend.  We saw him there and hung out the whole evening.  It's all history now.

For the first time in our "history" I don't care about a card or gift.
Things have been rough money wise.  With the economy as it is we are thankful we have jobs.  He thanks God every day as he drives 50 miles to and from work.  To me that is my card of LOVE.  Why would he do this if he didn't love me and our growing family?

To me every day is Valentines Day.

I can't believe that I got all the things done I wanted to this December.  Baking, shopping & the house.  It all fell into place.  I said "what will happen when the other shoe drops"?  And it did drop.

I have been sick now for 12 days.  With a few days off to get my jobs finished for other people.  I think your body and mind just make you go on and think you feel good to get it all done. Then....BAM.  I got sick starting on Christmas eve while icing cookies. My nose ran & ran.  On Christmas the cough set in.  With a house full of guests for supper I had to remove myself to cough and wash my hands.  Then I got a ear ache.  On the 3rd day my ear drum busted.  So now I'm off balance and can't hear out of my right ear.  But with all of this it was a good Christmas. Great Family time together.  Again I posted before I loaded pics.  Most of my fun pics I took from my phone.  We'll see what I can do to fix that.

IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS

One week from today and it will be Christmas morning.  The smell of coffee, fresh rolls baking and the excitement of the little ones waiting to open the gifts that Santa has left.  Knowing the real reason for this day will bring warmth to our heart and souls.  Gathering with Family with Love all around.  Because one little baby came to earth and showed us how we are to live.  It's easy to remember on this one day about kindness and forgiveness.  It's the rest of the year that we need to have the Love of Jesus in our hearts and remember not everyone has it as good as we do.  At ties we always want more, but just know someplace in this world, someone has it a lot less then we do.  Anyone reading my blog has a warm house to be in and electricity to run the computer.  So thank God for all we have and all we can be.  This world isn't what we want it to be these days, but each one of us can make it the best it can be if we just do our best, love each other and forgive as God forgives us all.

FALL FUNNIES

Some funny things have been going on with me.
I went to the doc. (yesterday) to pick up some scripts. I saw what I thought was a
really homely looking woman. I had to correct myself because that wasn't a nice thing to say. But this woman had on a skirt that was mid leg with white socks and boots. Kinda like olive oil, hair that was frizzy and standing up. As
she was looking down to the ground I started to feel sorry for her
and thought she must not have very much. To my surprise..She looked up.
It was a MAN. Or a young man. I had to laugh out loud. I wanted to take his picture.
But I thought it wouldn't be the best thing to do.

That late afternoon I went to get the groceries for Thanksgiving and the store was
packed. I couldn't even think. I got my turkey and something to fix for
supper and got out of there. Said I'd be back tomorrow.

That brings me to today. It's been raining so hard. I had to go to the doc. with my mother and back to the store. After her appointment I said I'm taking you home. I'll
pick up what you need when the rain slows down. Visited my local K-Mart and on my way to the car it was still pouring, but the gal next to me pushed her cart just to the side of my car. Now there was no way I could get out without hitting the cart.
I had to get out in the rain and move it. She never looked at me. I stood in the rain for a few extra seconds and she was too busy to look up. I'm sure she saw me.
Oh well.

I made it to Kroger after doing some other little stops. STILL RAINING. Oh
yes, yesterday I had to go out and get a shopping cart because they were all gone.
Today I got one before I went in and had to turn back. I even had a rag to wipe it down. Anyway I got my shopping all done and drove a block before I realized
I forgot to turn my lights on. It was 6:30, raining and very dark. What a goof.
But I must say I got it all done. I hope tomorrow will be a better day. Hope my pies don't burn and I get some good sleep. Oh did I say I woke up at 3 am?
No I forgot that. Well it's almost 11 pm with no nap. I hope I can sleep a
good and long sleep tonight.

FOUND A PIC.

So it looks like I should have posted a bigger picture. This is my minds eye paper. I like it because it does a lot of the work for you. Then added some dragonfly's and pearls. Just add a word or two and it will be ready to send. I had so much fun working with my ready made embellishments.




So I was able to find 2 pics. My husband takes all rights with the computer. He feels I can damage what he installs and so he has added my pics on two places. It depends on which camera I use. In this card The main paper is my minds eye. Used a stamp for the manikin and added the lace to the side. My first attempt to shabby. Need more work.

Ok..It's been too long since my last post. I uploaded pics of the cards I made with my new stuff and they were all sideways. I'll have to get into them first and try to rotate them. Can't believe its been more then a month. Some things just get put on the back burner.

We have had a really HOT summer. I rather enjoy it. WHY? Because it warms up our above ground pool. We have so many trees that it never gets a day of abundant sun. I like the water to be about 80. Yes I said 80. I need to get into it today because the weather is going to take a turn for cooler weather. Like in the mid to upper 80's. Believe me when I say that will cool the pool down soon it if starts to get lower.

I did get some new fun stuff yesterday. Jo-ann's was having a great sale. $29.99 cricut cartridges. I got "Straight from the nest". Also Spellbinders nestabilities were 40 % 0ff. I got Lacey Circles. I'm not sure if I made the right choice on that. So many great selections to look at. And a book on Jewelry making. I've been working on some of that. I made 4 bracelets and gave away 3. I'll probable end up taking a class to learn it all.

Well I'm off to see if I can rotate those pictures so I can post them. Maybe then go play in my craft room.
